Awards are purposed for the recognition of others to commend them on any given act that is viewed as honorable. Tom Bennett, artist and creator of “Care,” was deeply impacted by Project Red and designed this piece in honor of it. Bono and Bobby Shriver developed Project Red in attempts to help with the heartbreaking and devastating epidemic of HIV/AIDS in Africa. Project Red operates in partnerships with such companies as Motorola, the Gap, Converse, Giorgio Armani, and Apple. These companies are donating half of all Project Red inspired profits to the fund. “Care” depicts the ravaged emotion that the plague has caused. Constructed in pewter with a red finish, this 11in award would make a wonderful recognition award for someone who you deem as selfless and goes beyond gracious giving. For every “Care” award purchased, twenty percent will be donated to the Global Fund to help fight HIV/AIDS in Africa. So for that special someone who deserves to be distinguished, award them with “Care.” |
