Philosophy, a well known lifestyle brand that provides personal care products, recently set out to revise the service awards that they present to employees. These awards are presented at 5, 10 and 15 year intervals. Prior to engaging with Bennett Awards, they had used Waterford Crystal or cash as their service awards, depending on the length of service. They wanted to change this, however, to something that was more reflective of their culture and brand. Bennett Awards worked collaboratively with Philosophy to develop a unique custom awards design that embodied the essence of their company and culture.

The Philosophy custom awards that were created incorporate a pewter sculpture of their logotype wrapped around a crystal globe. Different sizes of crystal globes are used for different service awards, and each crystal globe is inscribed with the award recipient’s length of service. These custom awards are mounted on a black marble base that is inscribed with Philosophy’s corporate tagline “Believe in Miracles”. Bennett Awards recently completed a corporate custom awards project for Children’s Hospital Boston. The hospital wanted to create custom awards that would be provided as part of their NIDCAP (Newborn Individualized Developmental Cared and Assessment Program) Nursery Certification program. This program is designed to provide certification to intensive care nurseries around the world that adhere to NICAP standards of practice. The NIDCAP organization committee wanted to commission custom awards to be given as recognition awards to intensive care nurseries around the world that achieve NIDCAP certification. The NIDCAP organization had a logo that they wanted to use as the core of their custom awards design. Bennett Awards worked closely with them to develop a custom award design that incorporated this logo, and then produced the custom awards based on this design. The first award was given to St. Luke’s Regional Medical Center in Boise, Idaho.

We were delighted when the Association of Media and Entertainment Counsel (AMEC) again selected custom awards from Bennett Awards for their 2008 Media & Entertainment Counsel of the Year Awards. These unique, custom awards were created to recognize outstanding achievements by the top media and entertainment counsel and business affairs executives in the U.S. The Association of Media and Entertainment Counsel (AMEC) is the leading trade association serving general counsel and business affairs attorneys at media and entertainment companies and law firm practices. These custom recognition awards were presented at a awards presentation and dinner held at Hollywood’s House of Blues on January 9, 2008. When you purchase our unique bronze sculpture awards, there are two types of finishes you will find on the exterior of the award. One is a rich, gleaming, high-polish finish. For this finish, the surfaces of the sculpture awards are buffed and polished using high-powered tools to achieve a sparkling, shiny finish.

As an additional service we provide for our bronze sculpture awards, we are able to coat the exterior of the awards with a clear coating that preserves the sheen of the bronze finish over time.

The second type of finish you will find on our bronze sculpture awards is a patina finish. Patination is a process used to create color on the surface of our bronze awards. Patination involves applying chemicals and heat to the bronze to achieve different colors and textures. A variety of different looks can be produced via patina.
