Bennett Awards just completed the design and production of a unique custom awards design called the “Golden Quill” Award for the International Society of Weekly Newspaper Editors (ISENE). ISWNE is an organization made up of weekly newspaper publishers and editors from around the globe. The Golden Quill custom awards will be presented on an annual basis to recognize the top editorial from the past year. Each year, the International Society of Weekly Newspaper Editors holds its annual summer conference. The marquee event for this conference is the “Golden Dozen” editorial writing contest, which includes entries from weekly newspaper editors, publishers and writers from across the U.S., Canada, Ireland and the U.K.

There are typically between 100 and 150 entries that are judged based on their content, quality and persuasive power, as well as the writer’s willingness to take a stand on an issue. The 12 best are named the Golden Dozen, and the top entry is presented with a Golden Quill custom award. Bennett Awards designed the Golden Quill custom awards to be distinctive, unique awards that represented the spirit and essence of the competition. The design of these custom awards features a golden quill (of course!) that is based on the organization’s logo. These unique awards are then mounted on a black marble base engraved with the name and date of the award, the recipient’s name, and the title of the editorial entry. A photo of the award can be seen by clicking the following link: "Golden Quill Custom Awards"".
