Bennett Awards was recently commissioned by the City of Philadelphia to create a custom awards design for the Philadelphia Marathon. This unique custom awards design is based on a sculptural, 3-dimensional artistic interpretation of the Philadelphia Marathon logo. This Philadelphia Marathon logo features a running foot with wings behind its heel (similar to “Mercury”) and a star atop the logo. These unique awards were created as a special award called the “Mayor’s Mercury Award”. Bennett Awards artist Tom Bennett created the custom awards design based on the City of Philadelphia’s specifications. These unique awards were produced in pewter, and stand 12” tall. These custom awards feature a brushed pewter finish, and are mounted on a black marble base with the name of the award engraved in the base using silver fill.
