Charlie Rose Receives Bennett Recognition Award

Charlie Rose was recently presented with a unique Bennett recognition award that was selected as a Lifetime Achievement Award from the City University of New York (CUNY) Graduate School of Journalism (J=School). The recognition award was presented to Rose at the CUNY J-School’s Third Annual Awards for Excellence in Journalism event. This recognition awards presentation was held May 10, 2010, at The Times Center in New York City.

The recognition award was presented to Rose by Barbara Walters, the recipient of last year’s CUNY J-School Lifetime Achievement Award. A Bennett recognition award was also used for Walter’s award.

The unique awards design “Eternal Spirit” was used for this recognition awards presentation. CUNY J-School chose the pewter version of this unique award, with a gold plated finish. The unique corporate award was mounted on a black marble base with the name of the award, recipient and presenting organization.

Charlie Rose is one of America’s most renowned talk show hosts and television journalists. Since 1991, he has hosted “Charlie Rose, an interview show that is aired on PBS. He has also served as one of the main correspondents for “60 Minutes”, and an anchor for CBS News.

Caress

Giving someone the support that they need to reach a goal is an honorable thing to do. Reaching ones own goal can be a very important event in someones life and it should be aided in anyway possible.

The Caress recognition award is an award that honors those individuals who give others support in order for them to achieve their goals in life. This support is necessary in order to achieve the great goals that have been set in place. We need to recognize those who are in this support position because often times that go unnoticed while they do much of the work in helping to achieve.

Achieving a goal set in place by yourself or even by others is never easy and that is why we have help. This supporting cast is one that is there rain or shine to get things done. They want nothing but the best and the best is to achieve the goals that have been set in place. This supporting cast helps you along the way to your great achievement and will always be there for you.

If you are working towards a goal and have a supporting cast that creates unity to achieve that goal, honor them with the Caress recognition award.

Finding someone who can stare down adversity and accomplish great things is difficult. We all want to find someone for our company or even in our own personal lives who has this great capability. These types of individuals are ones that are successful in all environments even those that seem to be the toughest for most.

The Scorpio award is a recognition award that honors these individuals; the individuals who are show their determination through their great strength. These individuals are the ones who carry us through and allow us all to be successful. These are the type of people who become entrepreneurs–they are the risk takers in our world.

The people who should receive the Scorpio recognition award are ones that have achieved a great goal while faced with many difficult obstacles. They make sure that they achieve nothing but success no matter what. They set goals for themselves and for those around them that some may say are impossible, that is until recipients of the Scorpio achieve those goals.

Custom Awards Created for U.S. Missile Defense Agency

Bennett Awards recently completed the design and production of new custom awards for the U.S. Missile Defense Agency (MDA), a research, development, and acquisition agency within the U.S. Depart of Defense. This custom awards design was created for the “MDA Annual Star Award”, which are employee recognition awards that recognize outstanding contributions from MDA employees. Individual employees are nominated for these recognition awards, and then a board determines the overall winner. This year’s recognition award was presented to Dennis Miller, SS, on June 22, 2010, as part of the MDA’s Annual Employee Awards Ceremony.

Bennett Awards created these unique custom awards based on the MDA logo. These unique awards feature a brilliant star image propelling from a base. The body of these custom awards are produced in pewter with a silver-plated finish. These unique awards are supported by custom-milled anodized aluminum bases (shown below). The unique bases feature engraved longitude and latitude lines, along with the name and date of the recognition award, and the name of the award recipient. Round About

Having a lot of energy and be able to focus that energy on positive things can be difficult. Recognizing and honoring that type of person is often not done. Having a positive and energized mentality is hard to maintain and should be recognized with the Round About award.

This is an abstract design that shows many crazy curves and bends. This is representative of all of the energy that one may possess; it shows that they may be all over the place with their mind but when it comes right down to it, they have nothing but positives surrounding them.

This is an award that recognizes all of the hard work and effort that individuals put into accomplishing things in a positive nature. The powerful lines conveyed in this award conveys the power and energy one possesses all the while moving in a positive direction.

Honor and recognize those who have lots of energy that they can concentrate into nothing but positives. People who have this ability should be recognized for a multitude of reasons but especially because having lots of energy to put to good use all the time is a difficult thing to maintain, so recognize them with the Round About award.

Corporate Awards Chosen by NHF

The National Headache Foundation (NHF) selected Bennett corporate awards for a set of recognition awards they recently presented at their Gala and 40 Year Celebration. The NHF selected three unique Bennett corporate awards for their presentation. The NHF is the world’s largest volunteer organization for the support of headache sufferers. It is a source of help for sufferers’ families, physicians, allied healthcare professionals, and the public. These corporate awards were presented April 24, 2010, at the NHF Gala and 40 Year Celebration, held at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York City.

The NHF chose the Bennett corporate awards design <a href=”http://www.bennettawards.net/obelisk.html” target=”_blank”>”Obelisk of Success”</a> for the Elaine Diamond Service Award. These recognition awards are presented for excellence and enduring service. The 2010 recipient of this corporate award was Jim Staulcup.

The NHF selected the Bennett corporate awards<a href=”http://www.bennettawards.net/bluespire/html” target=”_blank”>”Blue Spire”</a>design for its Executive Chairman Award, which is given for exceptional volunteer service to NHF, to healthcare, and to headache sufferers. This recognition award was presented to Robert Kunkel, M.D.

Finally, the NHF presented the Bennett corporate awards design <a href=”http://www.bennettawards.net/uplift.html” target=”_blank”>”Uplift”</a> to Seymour Diamond, M.D., for 40 years of service to the NHF.

Progress

Progress is important in life because everyone wants to move forward in life; we all want to see ourselves do better each and everyday. There is one way to honor those that have shown significant progression in their work or even in their lifetime and that is with the Progress recognition award.

The Progress recognition award is an award for those that have moved forward in all that they do. They constantly work to evolve into someone who is more productive, someone who makes a difference and so on. It represents forward motion or Progress.

For those that aspire to move forward with all that they do, the Progress recognition award is the award for them. The two curving ovals best represent the motion of forward progress. The way that this abstract piece is designed allows one to think that the curving oval on top symbolizes the idea of your progress becoming greater and greater.

Creativity is often an over looked attribute in many. It is a characteristic that many of us don’t possess and those of us that do, hardly ever get recognized for it.

The Amadeus recognition award is perfect for honoring those with creative talents. It is also great for anyone in the music industry who shows their creative side for a living as the award itself is an abstract design of a music note. This is great for all musicians because it honors and recognizes their creativity in the music industry.

Making something your own can be a difficult task but many find the right way to do it and they do a phenomenal job as they have created their personality that allows them to express all of their ideas. We need innovation and creativity to fuel our society into the future. Music is a powerful medium that allows us to express ourselves and our beliefs. The Amadeus shares that same mentality as it’s abstract design is in the eye of the beholder.

The Amadeus recognition award is a very flexible award in that it can be used in multiple settings. This includes musicians, artists and even in the corporate world for those that have shown their creative side.

Honor

A beautiful flowing abstract design makes up the Honor recognition award. This award is perfect for a corporate recognition or any other area that deserves to be recognized for their honor.

This is an abstract design so the award is how what you picture it to represent, but here at Bennett Awards, we see it as Honor. The flowing design with sharp curves emphasizes the gracefulness that one must be to be honorable. We have designed this award so that it can best showcase all of the characteristics in someone who receives this recognition award.

For someone to receive the Honor recognition award, one must be honorable, they must show that they can be something more than others can be. It is important that they stand out amongst the rest of the crowd. They should be someone you consider to be a good person.

Moving up in today’s economic culture is very difficult. Many people are now staying with companies longer so that they may prolong their retirement or for many other reasons. For those of you who are moving up, we present to you the Moon Shadow recognition award.

This is a very unique award that was created by Tom Bennett. He took the idea of a person, or a group of people, who are no longer standing in the shadows of others, but instead, are moving up through the organization.

As the Moon Shadow depicts an upward trajectory, the recipient is moving up and forward in their career or in society. This is an award for someone who has focused in on what they want and capitalized on what their ambitions were. There is nothing that says you must stay in the same spot forever and for those that want to and those that have moved upward and onward, we present you with the Moon Shadow.
