A new custom awards design was created by Bennett Awards for the 2010 Audi Cup Farr 40 Sailing Regatta, held September 18-19. This regatta was a Farr 40 class sailing competition held off the coast of Dana Point, California. The regatta was sponsored by Audi and the Dana Point Yacht Club, and was held in conjunction with the Richard Henry Dana Charity Regatta. All proceeds from the event benefited the Ocean Institute, an education center located in Dana Point focused on marine science, marine history, and ocean and coastal environmental programs for K-12 students and teachers.

This unique custom awards design featured a 18” tall cup-shaped custom trophy mounted on a 4” X 4” X 4” black marble base. The custom trophy was cast in pewter, and featured a brushed pewter finish. The marble base featured an engraved plate on the front with the Audi event logo, and Dana Point engravings on the back. This unique custom awards design was won by the “Piranha”, captained by David Ross (pictured above). These custom awards will be used each year for this event. A larger view of this custom awards design can be seen by clicking the following link: “Audi Cup Farr 40 Custom Awards”.

Bennett Awards also designed the custom awards that were presented at the J-24 class sailing competition, held as part of the same overall event. This is the second straight year Bennett Awards has provided the custom awards for this event. Bennett Awards creates two custom awards for this event: 1) a custom trophy that is presented to the winner of each year’s race, and 2) a larger perpetual recognition award that lists the names of each year’s winners. The perpetual custom award is displayed in Audi’s showroom. These custom trophies can be seen more closely by clicking the following link: “Audi Cup J-24 Custom Awards”.

Overcoming obstacles can be very difficult. Often times one must try and try and try again before they ever come close to getting over that hurdle. This is a common occurrence with many people both in their private lives and their professional lives.

For those that have persisted to achieve, we have created the Release recognition award. This is an award that is designed specifically for those that have had to overcome significant obstacles in order to achieve. The award is a symbol of the path that they have taken to get where they are today.

This beautiful award, designed by Bob Bennett, is one that will remain close to its recipients heart for years to come. This award is based off of an abstract design that shows the many hurdles that one must surpass before achieving success. The Release recognition award shows the road in which one must travel to achieve great success.

Achieving something great is a lifelong dream of many. People want to recognized for their great efforts, especially when they come to fruition. The world is full of great people but excellence is far and few between.

The Excellence recognition award is an award that distinguishes the excellent form those who don’t quite make it. This is an award that should be given to those who go above and beyond the call of duty, to those who take the initiative and to those who display overall superiority.

This is a one of a kind award. The artist, MK Shannon, has designed this award around its name. The circle in which the star has passed through is meant to be a circle of excellence. This “circle of excellence” is one that the recipient has excelled through with much hard work and determination to succeed. The lightning bolt that the star is being propelled by is meant to symbolize the power that is propelling the star towards excellence. The star on the award is meant to symbolize the individual who is excellent.

The Excellence award comes in three great finishes that will make this award that much more personal to its recipient. Recognize those who have achieved above and beyond the rest with the Excellence recognition award.

Having someone on your team who is able to do multiple tasks at once is a great advantage to have in a competitive work force. The  Freedom III is a great recognition award for those that have these capabilities.

Freedom III is a one of a kind award. It features an abstract design of an eagle, a magnificent icon. The eagle is representative of many characteristics. A few that stand out are dominance, freedom, independence and power.

This is a great award for an individual in any setting where they display these wonderful characteristics. It is not often that you can find an individual who is so dynamic. This beautiful abstract award will help to make the recipient feel as though the hard work and dedication that they put into their work feel  worth while.

The three available finishes for Freedom III are brushed pewter, silver-plated and gold plated. These finishes allow the award to have its own distinct individualism, much like its recipient.

This beautiful award was designed by our very own Bob Bennett and has an available engraving option to make it a very personal award. The Freedom III is a one of a kind award for a one of a kind individual who shows promise past, present and future.

Bennett Awards recently designed and produced new unique custom awards for the Will Rogers Ranch Foundation. These custom awards were created for the foundation’s inaugural Dog Iron Polo Cup, a set of polo matches honoring he life and memory of Will Rogers. The polo event was named after Will Roger’s historic brand, the “Dog Iron”. Funds from the event will help ensure that the scenic trails, the tours of Will’s historic home, and the equestrian atmosphere will continue to entertain and serve the public as it has the last 66 years. The event and custom awards presentation was held at the renowned polo field at Will Rogers State Historic Park. This historic polo field is the only grass polo field let in Los Angeles, and was graded by Will Rogers himself. The polo matches and presentation of these custom awards was held on August 15, 2010, honoring the 75th anniversary of Will’s death. The event was co-chaired by Dennis Quaid and Dianne Keaton.

Bennett Awards created two unique custom awards designs for this event: 1) a large perpetual custom award (shown above) that will be engraved with each year’s winners, and be displayed in Will’s house, a public memorial now known as Will Rogers State Historic Park; and 2) smaller individual custom awards that are presented to the members of the winning teams. The perpetual custom award is a unique awards design featuring an impressionistic horse silhouette mounted on top of a marble base, which is in turn mounted on a tall custom-made alder wood base. The marble base is engraved with the Will Rogers Ranch Foundation name, and the Alder wood base has an attached plate with the event name and logo, and space of annual winners to be added. The unique individual custom awards are constructed of custom Alder wood plaques mounted on an Alder wood base. The plaques feature an engraved plate etched with an image of the horse silhouette, as well as the event name and date. These awards can be seen in more detail by clicking the following link: design “Will Rogers Dog Iron Custom Awards”.

The cobra can be described as many things but a few characteristics stand out more than others. Those characteristics are strong, aggressive and unafraid. They are the king of their domain.

The Cobra award is meant for an individual who portrays many of these traits in their work. These characteristics shine through in all that they do because they have one goal–success.

An individual who shares these traits is one that sees where they are going and what path they need to take to get there. They will not allow anyone or anything to stand in their way as they navigate through the long and daunting path that leads to their ultimate goal of success.

The Cobra is for someone who is on an aggressive yet noble path towards success. They want others to know that they are serious about achieving what is best and they are ready to strike at an opportunity in a moments notice.

The Cobra recognition award is one that not many people will receive because of its strong meaning. Get the Cobra for those who are on their way to achieving great things.

Having a harmonious workplace is essential. When you are working with others, it always makes  the work at hand go smoother and more efficiently when people are working together.

There is one award that will show your appreciation for those that can work together to create a successful “team” environment; we call it the Working Together recognition award. This is a beautifully designed impressionistic award by MK Shannon. It is one that any recipient can be proud of.

The idea behind this unique award is one that is meant to show how well a partnership can work. In order for there to be perfect cohesion amongst partners, there must be a lot of trial and error. There must be things that strain the relationship so that the individuals can become a stronger unit. When you have a group of people who can work together in harmony and achieve great success, then you have something that is truly amazing.

The Working Together  award is one that will be displayed for all to see. The two impressionistic figures beautifully display how working to together should be; when working together the partnership should be one that is intertwined so that success may be achieved.
