Every journey in life is different. How we use that journey to our advantage is what is really important. Often times, many people don’t utilize the tools that they have picked up along the way. The Passages in Time award is an award for those who have traveled down the road of life and achieved many great things along the way. The Passages in Time recognizes groups or individuals who have progressed in their journey. Whether it be an individuals career path or an organizations history, we must all recognize them for their great and fulfilling journey. The Passages in Time allows you visually see what they have gone through to get where they are. The curves symbolize the twists and turns that they have taken and all that they may have sacrificed. The curves find themselves progressing upwards which is a characteristic the recipient(s) also find themselves containing. This is a wonderful award and is great for a lifetime achievement award. Passages in Time is a perfect award for all who have a storied career and have taken a long and strenuous path to get where they are today.

Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger was the recent recipient of a unique custom awards design created by Bennett Awards. This custom award was presented to Governor Schwarzenegger at a recent climate change forum. The custom awards design was commissioned by CAPCOA (California Air Pollution Control Officers Association), an association representing all 35 local air quality agencies throughout California. CAPCOA commissioned this unique awards design for the Climate Legacy Award, a recognition award given in honor of lasting leadership and achievements for addressing climate change. This unique awards design was produced using reclaimed pewter as the primary material. The recognition awards design was created in the shape of California. The front of the custom award featured a 3D relief of California topography created in pewter. Set in the center of this relief were three plaques created from recycled glass – the upper plaque was engraved with the name of the award, the middle plaque was engraved with Governor Schwarzenegger’s name and the purpose of the recognition award, and the lower plaque was engraved with the CAPCOA logo. The back of the custom awards design featured a vintage, recycled metal motorcycle sign, in homage of Governor Schwarzenegger’s passion for motorcycles. This custom awards design can be seen in more detail by clicking the following link: “CAPCOA Climate Legacy Custom Awards”. This unique award was presented to Governor Schwarzenegger at the CAPCOA Climate Change Forum, which was held August 30-31 at San Francisco’s Marriott Marquis Hotel. Founded in 1975, CAPCOA is dedicated to protecting the public health and providing clean air for California residents and visitors to breathe.

There comes a time when we must think about how we helped someone in their time of need. It doesn’t have to be some great humanitarian effort that you must travel abroad for; it can be for something as simple as helping an elderly individual do maintenance around their home or even teaching children to read and write. It is the simple things that really count in life. The Volunteer award is designed for individuals who do their part in helping those in need. These individuals go above and beyond the rest and make it their mission to help those who are less fortunate. This is a very beautiful award. The Volunteer features an individual who is raising their hand in an effort to volunteer for whatever the world calls on them for. Also, this wonderful award features several openings in the body reinforcing the idea that individuals who volunteer at this level have open hearts as well as open minds–both are musts when dedicating your life to volunteer work. Honor the individuals who make it their mission to make their home, their country and even the world a better place with the Volunteer recognition award.

Every individual is different; very unique if you will. No two people are exactly the same and that is exactly why Tom Bennett has created the Personality award. This is an award like no other and takes on a personality of its own (no pun intended). With unique curves, this award easily conveys the will and forward thinking that many of the most unique personalities in the world today share. We are of course talking about the individuals who accomplish great things with the aide of their personalities along with charisma and passion for success and difference making. The Personality recognition award is truly one of a kind. This bronze sculpture features a high polished bronze finish on its edges and a beautiful patina finish which covers its planes. Recipients will appreciate its uniqueness when they see that the base has been engraved with their name and the reason in which they have achieved this great award. Honor those that use their personalities to better the world that we live in; recognize them with the Personality award.

The Global Achievement Tower is an award that honors and recognizes those individuals and or corporations that achieve this delicate balance. Often times these individuals and organizations are overlooked by negative stories on the media. The entities that should receive the Global Achievement Tower are ones that pursue humanitarian, environmental and even corporate paths. Whatever direction they travel, they are doing greatness. With the help of the longitude and latitude lines, this award shows how great and vast the world is yet how connected and intertwined we all are. Being an individual who makes a difference is very important. Being an in individual who is above the rest of the competition is quite different and often times, much more important. An individual who can be described as a ‘game changer’ is someone who deserves to be recognized. The Elite award is an award created specifically for individuals who make the most difference wherever they may be–work, charitable organization, sports, etc. Elite features one of our most abstract designs. It showcases all the characteristics of an elite individual in its gracefully flowing lines and powerful and complex curves. One cannot help but to feel awed in its presence as it has an immediate impression that lets you know its recipient is someone of great stature. This is an award like no other which is symbolic of its recipient. Not everyone can be considered elite. It takes many years of practice, experience, fortitude and greatness. The Elite recognition award is perfect for anyone who is above and beyond the rest and conveys their mentality for all those around them.

Bennett Awards designed and produced a new custom awards design for the US Soccer Federation and Nike. This unique custom awards design was developed for the First Place trophy for the 2010 Nike International Friendlies, an international soccer tournament held December 1-5, 2010, in Phoenix, Arizona. This soccer tournament features U-17 Men’s National Teams from around the world competing in a set of soccer matches. The 2010 tournament featured teams from the USA, Brazil, Turkey and the Korea Republic. This was the first year the tournament was held as a round-robin competition. Turkey was the overall winner of the tournament, beating the USA team 2-0 in the final match. For its victory, Turkey received the custom trophy created by Bennett Awards. The unique custom awards design created by Bennett Awards was based on a stylized cup, which uses unique shapes, stylizing, and geometric patterns to give it a unique, innovative, artistic flair, and differentiate it from garden-variety cup-based trophies. The unique awards design was produced in pewter, with gold and silver plating. The custom trophy features a raised, curving channel that flows through the design. The main planes of the trophy are gold-plated, while the curving channel is plated in silver. The recognition award stands 18” tall, and is mounted on a two-tier black marble base. Once side of the base features an engraved plate with the Champion’s moniker, while the other side of the base is engraved with the Nike logo and the names of the participating teams. A closer view of this custom trophies design can be seen by clicking the following link: “Nike International Friendlies Custom Awards”.

Bennett Awards recently created a new custom awards design for the Supreme Court of Texas Permanent Judicial Commission for Children, Youth and Families (the Children’s Commission). This custom awards design was created for the “Harriet O’Neill Award for Excellence”. The Children’s Commission will present these recognition awards on a periodic basis to people or organizations in honor of their noteworthy service to children. These recognition awards support the mission of Children’s Commission, which is to strengthen courts for children, youth and families in the Texas child-protection system and thereby improve the safety, permanency, and well-being of children. These unique custom awards were named after Justice Harriet O’Neill, who sprearheaded the creation of the Children’s Commission, and served three years as its chair. Justice O’Neill was also the first recipient of these unique awards. Bennett Awards created this custom awards design based on the Children’s Commission logo, which uses three connected shapes (two curves and a circle) to create an impressionistic figure of a child. These custom awards were produced in pewter, with a brushed pewter finish, and mounted on a black marble base featuring engraving of the name of the recognition award and date of presentation. The unique custom awards can be seen in more detail by clicking the following link: “Supreme Court of Texas ‘Harriet O’Neil Award for Excellence’ Custom Awards”.

Bennett Awards created a new set of custom awards for the Skateboarding Hall of Fame. These custom awards were used as recognition awards for the 2010 class of inductees into the Hall of Fame. The objective of these custom awards and the Hall of Fame induction is to ensure that legendary skateboarders are recognized by their peers and remembered by future generations. The inductees are voted on by members of the International Association of Skateboarding Companies (IASC) and other industry insiders. The annual induction event is put on by the IASC and Skatelab. For these unique awards, Bennett Awards created a new custom awards design based on the 3D representation of the Skateboarding Hall of Fame logo. These recognition awards feature one end of a skateboard, including the deck, truck and wheels, on top of the Hall of Fame logotype. These unique awards are cast in pewter, and feature a patina and brushed pewter finish. The custom awards are mounted on a black marble base that is engraved with the name of the recipient. A larger view of these custom trophies can be seen by clicking the following link: “Skateboarding Hall of Fame Custom Awards”.
