NATPE (National Association of Television Program Executives) recently presented Lifetime’s COMING HOME series with a unique Bennett recognition award. The Bennett recognition trophy was used for NATPE’s Innovator Award, which is presented annually to recognize outstanding achievement in nonscripted programming. Recipients of the Innovator Award showcase extraordinary passion and leadership, leveraging their platform in new, innovative and productive ways. COMING HOME pays tribute to American armed forces personnel and their families, following the unforgettable and inspiring surprise reunions of soldiers from all five branches of the military with their spouses, children, parents, and other loved ones as they return home from active duty throughout the world.

This recognition award was presented to COMING HOME on June 10, 2011, at NATPE’s PitchCon 2011 Conference, held in Los Angeles. This unique achievement trophy was presented to COMING HOME’s executive producer, Tom Forman, and the show’s host, Matt Rogers, by NATPE’s President and CEO Rick Feldman. The achievement awards ceremony was hosted by Brian McNamara, who stars as Maj. Gen. Michael Holden on Lifetime’s ARMY WIVES, and featured a talk by U.S. Army Lt. Col. John Clearwater, who spoke about the lives of military service men and women and their families.

The unique Bennett recognition awards design “Eternal Spirit” was used for this distinguished award. This award was customized with personalized engravings on its marble base of the NATPE logo, the award name, and award recipient.

This is the fourth straight year NATPE has used a Bennett recognition awards design for its Innovator Award. Past recipients of this prestigious award were Fox’s “American Idol”, ABC’s “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition”, and NBC’s “The Biggest Loser”.

Bennett Awards recently created a new custom awards design for the New York AIR Society, and organization that supports National Jewish Health, the nation’s #1 respiratory hospital. Bennett Awards developed this unique custom awards design for the New York AIR Society’s Irving Borenstein Memorial Award for Distinguished Leadership. This recognition award was created to honor those whose leadership and support help National Jewish Health.

For this distinguished recognition award, Bennett Awards created a custom designed clear crystal tower approximately 12” high. Inside the crystal tower are opaque crystal 3D images of floating balloons, one of symbols used by the AIR Society. These 3D balloons are suspended inside the crystal tower, creating a dramatic, 3D effect. The crystal tower also features customized engravings of the award name, recipient name, date of presentation, and the AIR Society’s logo. This unique crystal tower is  mounted on a black marble base. A larger view of this custom awards design can be seen by clicking the following link: “National Jewish Health Custom Awards”.

The 2011 recipient of this unique achievement award was Jason D. Pizer, President of Trinity Real Estate. The recognition award was presented to Mr. Pizer on May 12, 2011, at the Air Society’s 20th anniversary of their “The Sky’s the Limit Benefit”, created to raise funds for National Jewish Health.

National Jewish Health is known worldwide for treatment of patients with respiratory, cardiac, immune and related disorders, and for groundbreaking medical research. Founded in 1899 as a nonprofit hospital, National Jewish Health remains the only facility in the world dedicated exclusively to these disorders. Since 1998, U.S. News & World Report has ranked National Jewish Health the #1 respiratory hospital in the nation. Since its inception in 1991, the New York AIR Society, which comprises a diverse group of professionals from a variety of industries, has raised more than $2.5 million for the institution.
