For the second consecutive year, Bennett Awards produced a custom recognition award for the Nike International Friendlies, an international soccer tournament sponsored by Nike and the US Soccer Federation. The Nike International Friendlies are a men’s soccer tournament involving Under-17 national teams from four different countries: the USA, Brazil, France and Turkey. This year’s competition was held December 2-6 in Lakewood Ranch, Florida. The four teams played a round-robin competition, and the USA squad came out on top, defeating Brazil in the final match 3-1 to earn its first title. After winning the competition, the USA team received the Championship Trophy, which is a custom achievement award (shown at left) designed by Bennett Awards.

Last year, Bennett Awards created a new, unique custom recognition awards design specifically for this event. This custom trophies design is based on a stylized cup, and utilizes geometric shapes, bold stylizing, and unique patterns to give it a distinctive, innovative, artistic flair, and distinguish it from other, commonly seen cup-based trophies. The achievement trophy was cast in pewter, with gold and silver plating. The custom award features a raised, curving channel that flows through the design. The main planes of the trophy are gold-plated, while the curving channel is silver-plated. The recognition trophy stands 18” high, and is mounted on a two-tier black marble base. Once side of the base features a customized engraved plate with the Champion’s moniker, while the other side of the base is engraved with the Nike logo and the names of the participating teams.
